About Me

ABOUT ME

I have loved theatre my whole life. Growing up I was a stagehand, acted,
directed, attended performances, and took theatre classes. While I still dabble in all of the aforementioned, what has continually stuck in my life is being an avid patron of the arts. Theatre is a medium unlike film or television because there is something indescribable that happens when live stage actors draw you into their reality. For years I have been told that I should write about my theatre knowledge, recommendations, and opinions, and so I decided to start this blog.

This is a collection of magnets from shows I have seen on Broadway, during a U.S. National tour, or at a show where there was merchandise. I wish I had magnets for all the shows I have seen!

WHY PLAYHOUSE PATRON?

When I was attempting to figure out my blog’s name, I wanted to choose a title that easily described who I am and is catchy. I decided to look at theatre terms to see if anything resounded with me, and a list from a playhouse was the first I saw. That is when Playhouse Patron was born.

Playhouse – a theater

Patron – a customer, especially a regular one, of a store, restaurant, or theater
